Air con systems should be serviced once a year
If there is a leak in an air con system moisture can gain access and react with the oil to form acids
Pollen filters remove fumes and pollutants from the atmosphere. If it is not changed it stops being effective plus the mould growth that builds up can smell stale and damp. This can also make us sick.

WARNING: NOT SERVICING YOUR AIRCON SYSTEM CAN LEAD TO DAMAGE. A SERVICE SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT
ONCE A YEAR.

AIRCON DIAGNOSTICS
In order to test a system after it has stopped working it must have the correct volume of gas. We connect the system to a servicing machine that removes any air and remaining refrigerant. It vacuums the system for 20 minutes and fills the system with the correct amount of refrigerant.

The system can now be checked for faults and operation. Diagnosing the air con faults is a two part process with two separate costs, one to diagnose/service and one to repair.

FACTS ABOUT AIRCON
Air con systems on average will lose 7% of their refrigerant in the first year of operation. In the second year with less gas the compressor must work harder and the over-all temp of the system increases. As a result the loss the next year can be as high as 14%. The process will continue until the compressor breaks or a low pressure switch shuts the system down.
